Rosa Pugliese

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I came to this beautiful country at the age of 35 with my husband and two young children. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was young, and I have been serving the Lord along with my husband in the pastoral and teaching ministry for the past thirty years.

I have felt prompted by God to get involved in translation work since 1998, to be an instrument in making the vast English resources also available to the Spanish-speaking people here in the United States and throughout Latin America and Spain.

I have been working as a freelance English-Spanish translator, editor, and ghostwriter for the past twenty-plus years for multiple Christian publishing houses. I was contacted by Karen Burkett several years before she sold CED to the Porter family, and I have enjoyed translating English books into Spanish ever since.

My familiarity with American English and the local culture has also had an impact on the authenticity of my translations. I am also able to translate cultural ideas in a way that is thoroughly understood and written with sensitivity and beauty in a neutral Spanish universally understood. In addition to that, due to my strong Christian background, I have a tight grasp on the right words to use in Spanish to maintain the intended spiritual meaning of the original text.

Since I’ve been in the translation business for over twenty years, I have had the privilege of translating books for some well-known authors, such as Gary Chapman, Gary Smalley, J. Oswald Sanders, Elisabeth Elliot, Ruth Graham, Tony Evans, Elizabeth George, and Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, among others.

“The Lord has been so good to me!” (Psalm 116:12–19 NIRV)

I love being a part of the CED family!
