Over a decade ago, Karen Burkett gave me my first editing job when she owned Christian Editing and Design. My responsibilities with CED include editor, writing coach, and critique specialist. While I work with both fiction and nonfiction authors, it may interest novelists to know that I have experience as a deep point of view (DPOV) coach. DPOV draws readers in and allows them to see the story through the main character’s eyes, as it were.

My hubby and I have been married since 1982 and look forward to his upcoming retirement, at which point we plan to move to the same small town two provinces over in which our son and daughter-in-law live. Our daughter plans to move there as well. Before too long, we hope to get back to Scotland, where our oldest lives with his wife.

Matthew 6:33 has been a favorite verse since I was a child, and God has abundantly met my needs—even when I haven’t sought His kingdom as I should. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (TLV, emphasis mine).
